PRT have developed new sort of rear lower trailing arm bushes for a rear axle of Volvo 240 series cars that is far much more advanced to whatever Powerflex/Superflex has to offer. Set like on pictures on the left eliminates any sort of rear axle centrifugal movement when rear of vehicle is cornering or (better) drifting. All solid axle 240 series cars have this problem, which is even bigger deal when ride is lowered and wider rims are used. Whilst cornering wheels are rubbing inner arch despite support of Panhard rod – these PU bushes are becoming stiffer as soon as centrifugal force is in place. Same thing is when vehicle accelerates or brakes – bushings becoming immediately solid. This gives you better feel of rear of your car and prevents damage to tire wall due to less play in rear suspension. It’s sort of thing that is desirable on track, but on other side it gives you comfort of ride when vehicle is used in normal driving conditions – not everyone likes to have uni-ball on the car whilst driving on the public road.
Please note that this set does not include Panhard rod bushes, these can be purchased separately here. Product comes as set like on picture, brand new in packaging with 12 months manufacturer warranty.
