Volvo 740 and 940 series TXR universal shifter that provides incredibly short and distinct gear positions. This short shifter was initially designed for BMW’s gearboxes, but works well on all boxes that have a built-in reverse lock (ie M90).
Supplied with universal untreated mounting plate for welding in the gearbox tunnel.

Fitted this today and I must admit it feels great, extremely short shift on the bottom hole. I had to modify the linkage from the gearbox to adapt the 8mm holes so I welded two m8 nuts in the holes and drilled them out so I could use an m8 bolt. Worked great. Only issue is he plate supplied isn’t wide enough to weld in to the tunnel, so for now it is just pinched on the tunnel with the plate which works ok. Would like a plate and I see now you can buy it with the plate but that wasn’t an option when I purchased it unfortunately. Overall has a great feel and gives two options if you want less of a tight feel. Good quality product and way better than my old worn out shifter!
